Electonica recommendations anybody?

I post this every year asking for Electonica recommendations and always get some fantastic responses so has anyone got any recommendations this year... Or any recommendations for Chill out music?

The last few years I have found some real gems like Goldfrapp in 2004, M83 in 2005 and Holy f**k in 2008

The sort of stuff I like are Goldfrapp, Kraftwerk, Groove Armada, Holy f**k, Failthless, etc...

Cheers!

Definately try to catch Bonobo. He is in the middle of a hugely successful tour with his band - saw them in New York and it was phenomenal. Working with Andreya Treyana too who has a jaw dropping voice.

Dreadzone is a good call by Stooka too. The new album is ace and they were rocking at Bearded a few weeks ago.

Subgiant hasnt been mentioned and they are worth a looksie ;)

Bonobo and Four Tet absolutely. I saw Bonobo in Plymouth the other week and they were excellent.

Sort of crossing genres here but check out Quantic as they're great.

I know they're not playing so this is a little off topic but for chilled music definitely have a listen to Emancipator, you'll most likely recognise a few of his chowns, and they're perfect for a lazy afternoon.

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS~!

I'm soo stoked for WoW and Hybrid. Every year we seem to get one or the other... but to get them both back to back and playing live has pretty much made my festival.

The new Faithless album 'The Dance' is seriously, seriously good.

Got bought it the other day by me missus and it knocked my socks off. I will defo be catching them if they are gonna play the new album tracks.

Dubfire will be immense, so will Dreadzone, Sasha and Beardyman Live. Don't know if they really fall into the electronica genre you may be looking for but they will all be very good. x

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
