Q magazine!

Im gonna be honest, i go to this great fest purely through the choice of very little artists that im interested in that are playing and locality, but at the same time I recognise it to be a fantastic festival that offers the cream of dance without spiking the royalty of pretentious, (Tiesto David Guetta)

But I think the fact that Q magazine lingers from the arse of Glastonbury and gives NO attention to Rockness and very little to anyone else, that includes Isle of wight is a poor show on a magazine that is supposed to be the number 1 music magazine.

I always thought rockness had a great following (even though it doesnt seem to ever sell out) and was a festival that just needed that final push into peoples consciousness that would make it a well recognised and artist heavy attracted festival.

This may go against the ethos of not making Rockness a huge festival, I know that MR King has no intentions (at the moment) of making the festival any bigger than it actually is, but recognition where it is due should be paid.

Would just like your opinions also.

Its always the same for most of these mainstream music mags, Clash magazine has mentioned it a few times. Sure look at the coverage BBC had on their website for RN 2009, two video clips of Orbital which is pathetic. Im gonna dedicate some nice space in ma blog for RockNess. Sure even searching in Soulseek for audios from BBC and whatever at RN hardly brings any results.

True everyone from London thinks they have everything they need. I guess Glasto and Reading are close enough that they don't think they need to venture any further past them.

It's a sad fact really as they are missing some of the best and beautiful festival in the world, Rockness definitely being one of them.

If Q Magazine still haven't given RockNess any great praise then I doubt they ever will.

I've never properly read the magazine and will never buy a copy now. I hate bias in magazines or newspapers.

    • That would be perfect!
    • If the festival was on this forecast for the end of the month would really raise the excitement levels 😊😉
    • I think their best chance is to get at Brazil. I though Casemiro in particular but the entire Brazil midfield was awful for the first half of that game, and if McTominay and McGinn press and run past them they've got every chance of getting the lead. You kinda assume Vini Jr and Raphinha will do something at some point in any game, but Brazil look like they're waiting for their stars to make something happen, instead of having a team plan.   I stand by my claim before the tourney that Morocco put 3 past Scotland, which suggests to me they need to nick a draw against Brazil.
    • The dance and pop acts seem to be going down more than the rest lol. Download has turned into 90s fest of the Midlands haha, but it's all silly music no one actually likes lol.
    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
