Ferdinand was injured by...............Heskey.

Look Emile, I know you want to get in the side, but injuring a centre half isn't the best way to do it.

Listen, you big, clumsy galoot - just go over there and sit down. Don't approach anyone, don't talk to anyone, don't look at anyone. ESPECIALLY Wayne. Just stay out of trouble before you cause any more damage. Heavens above.

 priceless. now all we need to is for steven 'hartson' gerrard to have an incident with wayne 'berkovic' rooney and we're laughing :P

*edit* though regarding drogba's injury, is it wise to be playing friendlies against teams that are actually in the world cup? not seen it or suggesting it was deliberate, but there's always the risk surely?

England captain Rio Ferdinand has been ruled out of the World Cup after suffering a knee injury in training.

The 31-year-old centre-back had a scan after hurting his left knee following a challenge with Emile Heskey during Friday's first training session.

He emerged from hospital on crutches and Tottenham's Michael Dawson, who had been put on standby, is expected to fly to South Africa in the next 12 hours.

Vice-captain Steven Gerrard will step up to lead the side at the World Cup.

Reckon this could be good for Engerland........

Stevie G may well put in massive performances, now he has the arm band. Not saying he would not put his all into it anway, but with the armband on, his pride may give him a lil more zip n go............

One HUGE plus to Drogba probably being out:

No more ranting at Clive the Clown shouting "Drog-barrrrrr" every couple of minutes. Twathead.

    • I would be very surprised as well if they are are European Festivals and Werchter isn't one of them. They have done Roskilde before but with big gaps   They have done NOS once and they have done Mad Cool once while playing 3 times at Werchter during the period Mad Cool has ran.
    • Whole thing seems a bit sus to me.
    • wtf. Those Moroccons in Cueta can't just go into EU anyway, they would need to go through further checks before Schengen.
