Good day all ye fellow festivalers, I'm not sure if this is in the right section of le forum, but this year at Glasto me and my companion are thinking of making a flag - so does anyone have any tips? Literally anything would be excellent, as I have never made one before...

I agree, throwing bottles of urine is possible the least funny thing ever, and quite the last thing you want to be covered in for the rest of the festival.

I also agree that seeing bands is a good thing - this flag is for tent time, mainly to navigate back to it!

Awesome link/blog thanks, lots of good information on there :P Construction shall begin!

We've made two flags for this year, both staying at the campsite tho, won't be stage-waving. If you search for 'flag' there's a few threads already about it.

My tips:

Design it on a computer

Enlarge to size of flag

Print out, and trace in pencil onto flag

Paint in acrylic paint (comes in a squirty tube, can get from any arts + crafts shop)

If you only use one or two colours, it obviously makes it cheaper. And if you buy a coloured flag that adds a 'free' colour

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
