Just read this not sure if its been reported on here but could it mean they might cancel Glastonbury as well, -

The Flaming Lips have been forced to cancel their appearance at this year's SunFest, because multi-instrumentalist Steven Drozd has been hospitalised.

No further details of Drozd's condition have been released, but according to Pitchfork, the band may also pull their show at Memphis In May on May 1.

Oh that snot good news. I really hope he gets better before the big G. Would they move Hot Chip up i wonder or get someody else to play instead?

Can't see him being out long enough to effect Glastonbury. Although it doesn't state on the fan site why he has been admitted it does go on to say he is expected to make a full recovery.

Edit: Show in Memphis already pulled I believe and as they are festival performances they will not be rescheduled.

Another festival cancelled on May 15th.

full statement on the fan site ;

Steven Drozd of THE FLAMING LIPS has been hospitalized and will be unable to perform. Doctors are expecting a full recovery within a few weeks. As a result, all immediate shows will be canceled as follows:

April 28 - Sunfest - West Palm beach, FL

May 1 - Beale Street Fest. - Memphis, TN

May 15 - Hangout Fest - Gulf Shore, AL

Hope he's better soon, they are one of the bands which are a must see for me this year.
