Kerrang have accidentally announced that Evile are playing, but they weren't announced yesterday: f**k up, or genuine leak? It's not on their website, and there were supposed to be 15 bands announced, but only 14 were given last night, so maybe negotiations aren't complete?

Jane's Addiction have just announced 2 tour dates on 9th June & 11 June in Holland and Spain. Please Please Please let them play Download!! Perhaps 4th down mainstage on Friday maybe.......i hope theres room for them!

They can't play friday if they're in holland or spain. Maybe another of the days but fri is the 11th.

mmm thats interesting....The RATM gig with JA in holland is to do with livenation i believe, if u check the RATM tour dates http://www.ratm.com/ it has livenation written under the holland date. mmmm does this improve their chances of being at Download? hope so!

Id say they're surely supporting rage in London. I'd love them to play Download too

Back at Leeds/Reading 2002, they were 3rd, under The Strokes and Pulp. I wouldn't say their status has risen since then, and in terms of the audience they'd face at Download, I'd say they'd fit neatly between Megadeth and Lamb of God. Then again, it makes more sense to me that they could just be at the RATM free show, given where Download's budget appears to have gone this year.

To be honest I'd imagine that they won't play Rage Factor if they don't play either Download or Dublin too: they won't get a penny to play Rage Factor so why go to all the expense of coming here if there's no pay-off?

Of course they'll get paid to do Rage Factor mate, FR are organising it just cos its a free show doesnt mean expenses dont come in other ways, for a start i bet you now a lot of RATM's added xmas funds go into it

Janes Addiction would make a great addition to the RATM day. But is there space for them? Last UK festival they did they were pretty high up at T (just below NIN I think), so would they play 4th, below Megadeth & Deftones?
