And I remember it took the duration of several full moons and 4 cricket matches for James Brown to actually take to the stage.

the chillies for me are in my top 5 best live acts iv seen at a festival and top 5 worst . 1999 at reading they were awsome as a festival perfomance only neil young glasto 09 , paul mccartny glasto 04 and the foos at reading 05 have been better (imo).. but at v2003 stafford they were awfull , out of tune not playing together just utter shite i thought they were average at the hyde park gigs as well .

Dear god I hope not. Anyone who saw their Reading headline slot in 2007 will understand my opinion. They were absolutely abysmal, I've never seen such a terrible headline performance and I've seen Razorlight and Kings Of Leon having their meriod last year at Reading.

But live? Saw them live a few years ago at the Man City stadium though and was hugely disappointed. To me they treated it like a low-grade warm up for the Hyde Park gig a few weeks later. Terrible set-list, generated no atmosphere at all, had a big pop at the crowd for not liking support act Chicks on Speed (who were f*cking awful) and played the rest of their set in a childish strop after alienating the fans who'd paid a shedload to see them. Found the whole idea of AK lecturing other ppl about their behaviour highly amusing too...

I really would love Coldplay to open the Pyramid stage - I've seen them 3 times, but the last time was Glastonbury in 2005.

I really don't care about their critics - I think they're a top band and my fingers are firmly crossed for them. They'd be great.
