The army surplus website is pretty good, it has camping mats, sleeping bags, tents, wellies... all the basics for Glasonbury apart from the Ale & Cider

Blimey KE, that is one CHEAP shopping list. Most folk on here would perhaps buy the things on that list but pay an average of £3-5 per item. I cant see a torch at 90p being much cop though hun.

Food at £6? Are you just eating 29p noodles all weekend?

Just lay some money aside each week and in 3 months time you should have a lovely pot of money to spend.

The amount of outlay we place on Glastonbury is pretty unreal but then again a lot of us do have a large festy tranklement stash that has built up over the years and dont need to spend much on outlay except replacement tat and unneeded goodies that we still buy in a mad moment at Poundland cos the frivolous temptation is just all too much come June!

Off the back of this thread I still want to suggest that perhaps this year, at least really tries to pool tranklement efforts to keep from overloading and overpacking and overbuying of shit that never even gets used to a minimum

the £6 for food seems a tad low as well unless youre planning on eating from the stalls when you're there. if thats the case i would budget about £20 - £25 a day for 3 meals and coffee / tea to go with it.

Tinned fruit isn't healthy! You'd be better off taking a bunch of bananas and a loaf of bread (pre buttered) and getting something vaguely filling into you before you start the day. Otherwise that first Brothers will floor you!!!

Yeah to be fair I'm not going for the health tinned fruit is just nice and easy for when i wake up or as a snack if I'm in the tent and I love pineapple from a tin
