I like rice noodles, rather than egg ones. also prefer rice to noodles nowadays though i used to love noodles and pasta and stuff. My tummy doesnt like it anymore.

No if you buy thai rice noodles they are more like rice tagliatelli than the thin things. and go really nicely in stirfrys

Speaking of Italian food, can anyone cook gnocchi? I found a recipe for them but it said to use breadcrumbs, so I made it and was ok but not as they nice as they should be and then I found another recipe thaT said it doesn't need breadcrumbs.

I gad a Special Mixed Calzone for my dinner last night. It was perhaps the greatest piece of food I have ever encountered.

calzone's are well overated in the pizza world. it's always too bloody hot and it's overloaded with crust.

This thing was beautiful though, it had Donner meat, Tandoori Chicken, Ham, Pepperoni, Peppers, Onion, Mushroooms and Sweetcorn. It was cooked perfectly. And we got free mixed Pakora!

made the most amazing bolognese yesterday.

grated carrot and celery and chopped some onions and squished some garlic.

liquidised tin tomatoes with hunners of basil.

cooked meat then added.

added some water and veg stock cos it was a bit thick, then some lemon juice and red wine vinegar.

loved it, it's my lunch as well today

Udon noodles are where it's f**king at. There's a Japanese film called Udon. All about udon noodles. It's brilliant.

Well, other than he's missing some pancetta - I've actually got some lovely spec in at the moment so I've been using that a fair bit - and he's served it with spaghetti and not tagliatelle, he's making me hungry!

i never mentioned spaghetti but yes, i did. and i broke it into 3 cos i hate long spaghetti. weirdo i know.

i just don't think you need two meats in it. used to put bacon, but it's not for me.

tagliatelle next time though.

And because my mum and dad love bolognese I've grown to hate it. They make it dead authentic too. I've had it so much over my lifetime I don't want it anymore.
