With all the years of experience on these boards I'm sure there are things you do each year or take each year to make the festival experience better for you. Lets put them all together here so we can all use them, I'll start with a couple

POCKET TISSUES, I always buy a pack of 6 before I go to glasto. You can easily put a pack in your pocket as your wondering around the site so you never need to be caught short. I know you can get free toilet roll but its so awkward to carry around and if it rains it becomes useless.

WHISKY. My spirit of chose is Jack Daniels but can be any spirit. We take a bottle each (in plastic bottles) and a hip flask each. Many reasons why taking spirits is a fantastic idea, cost, weight to name a few. Always a good way to start the day by buying a coffee and added a shot of whisky to get you going. When you are around the main stages at night and the bars are heaving you can just have a quick sip on the JD to keep you topped up plus you don't need to go to the toilet every 10 minutes. You can always buy soft drinks once your there are spread it out if you don't like it neat, I often get a bottle of coke from the ice cream van at the top of the pyramid for 2 quid.

WELSH OGGIE. I know its been said a lot on these boards but they are so good they need to be mentioned again

NEVER pass up the opportunity to take a dump. You never know when you'll come to regret it.

For a nice, cool can of lager in the morning, slip some cans under the groundsheet of your tent before you go to bed. It'll be perfect to drink with a bacon buttie first thing in the morning.

One of the best things I did last year was to purchase two huge blankets from one of those places that sell huge blankets for a fiver :P

Came in so handy, and I just chucked them back when I left.

Peace x

Anyone coming in a Range Rover is allowed to drive on site on Weds and Monday and to drop

off and collect their stuff.

You need to book it in at Worthy Farm tho !

Also, I made up stacks of fruit cocktails (decanted into the small handy sports water bottles). Made and frozen in advance, and took them in a relatively small cool bag.

Some were still a bit icy by the weekend!

I also take a tiny hexi stove and single coffee sachets for a morning cuppa. Takes up zero space!!

Middle Class Hamper Carrying Types : Sitting your green chairs right in the middle of the main stage right at the start of the day allows you the best position to bitch and moan everytime people who want to actually see the band try and get past.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
