If you're talking 1 tune used within a film...how about this from the end of 'Heat'?

2001: A Space Odyssey:

1. Atmospheres

3. Requiem , for soprano, mezzo-soprano, 2 choruses & orchestra

7. Work(s) ~Jupiter and Beyond

Brian Eno: Apollo Atmospheres and Soundtracks: all of side one and some tracks on side two.

Both absolutely amazing beanbag albums, 2001 really takes you intensely to the other side, I really recommend you dont trip listening to these selected tracks, as you dont need to, it just does it. Track 3 especially, can you imagine two choirs singing slightly out of sync with each other, the wildest thing you will hear.

Another Body Murdered by Faith No More and the Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. off the Judgement Night sountrack is ace, as is Disorder by Slayer and Ice-T. It's a dreadful film. Along similar lines the Spawn soundtrack (aslo a dreadful movie) has a brilliant tracks by Goldie and Henry Rollins, Roni Size and Soul Coughing and Slayer with Atari Teenage Riot.

I like the Royal Tennenbaums Soundtrack, Nico, Lou Reed, Ramones, The Clash and my favourite Elliott Smith song Needle in Hay.

Easy Rider! C'mon! The credits start up with Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper revving up their Harley Davidsons as Steppenwolf's Born to be Wild kicks in!

Bob Dylan wrote the first verse of the song "Ballad of Easy Rider" on the back of a fag packet and gave it to Dennis Hopper and told him to give it to Roger McQuinn and he'll know what to do with it!
