Oh please :P , they're no more a kiddie band than Kaiser Chiefs or Kings of Leon, yes, they do have young fans, this is the "pitfall"(if you can call it that) of being a radio friendly band, they have fans of all sorts of ages, that's why they were able to have a number 1 album, that's why they're playing second on the bill, and judging by the majority of responses in this thread they're a good booking

I'm not suprised by this booking, I thought that they would be 2nd or 3rd but still it is a dissapointment to see it down as TBC and even worse as taking a subheadline slot. A pretty poor pop punk band in my eyes and though that crush song wasn't bad I'll say, to see them down as another high slot that I won't be seeing, I'm struggling to see what bands I will actually be watching at this years fest. At this rate it will be bands who I can easily see and who I can see by forking out only 10/15 quid. It's looking more and more likely that FR will struggle to sell out as quickly as other years and their reputation will surely take a beating at this rate.

i think paramore are a really good band and deserve some respect tbh. so some people dont think theyre big enough to be that far up the bill, but i can guarantee a lot of people will go and watch them. i saw them in december and the fact that they can sell out such big venues surely means they're good enough. just my opinion though

Not really a big surprise. Was debating wether to put them 3rd or 2nd. I understand lots of people dont like them, but i dont see how anyone can say that at this moment in time, theyre not big enough to play second. Compare them to Arcade Fire and MCR and they could headline!

Its funny I started going to the festival ten years ago and remembered thinking that I would never grow out of it. Now I see paramore second on the bill and realise im completely out of touch! Not a criticism of a band just the realism that the target audience is now younger than me. I also dont get why people think the lead singer is so attractive. I think its because she is a Rare female in a male dominated industry. I dont think she would stand out at all in your average club.
