rexclark
Trust me Arcade Fire will be absolutely amazing. They play their instruments well, quality songs and great stage presence you cant ask for much more from a headliner. However im not convinced they'll be massive by the time reading comes around. I reckon it will be like Kings of Leon at glasto where the band are getting bigger and on the verge of exploding and this time next year they'll be massive. Obviously depends on how mainstream the new album is but they are quality and will be the pick of the headliners this year. Blink 182 on the other hand... rexclark
Gorillaz would be fantastic and would show a great piece of forward thinking by the festival. This is why I doubt they'll play.
likelyladtom
Technically Neil said "I know you won't be getting that," in response to a call for MGMT to play in a tent, so it is possible that his response was because he knows that they're appearing on the main stage. Might be clutching at straws a little bit.
redcarsgofaster
That was how I read it, too.
thomasowen
I'm no professional but even I can see Arcade Fire will be bigger than Franz by the time the festival comes around.

Vieuphoria
I would hope to see them headlining NME or 3rd on main. But that's just wishful thinking.

redcarsgofaster
I expect these bands to be there this year. I'm sure on NME the other day the Drums were doing a north american tour, which I think (Don't actually quote me on this) was around the same time as R and L. robsadler
i love manchester orchestra but was pretty disappointed with their set last year at leeds. the set was waaaay to short and they had a lot of technical difficulties. luckily i managed to catch them play at heaven a few months back at their own gig and it was brilliant! the venue name was extremely apt for the occasion!
