The planes are great fun during the day. But camping in White (in 08) having the cargo planes taking off right next to your bed was annoying.

The only real negative compared to other festivals is the huge walk to the arena and car park.

bad = being unable to locate first aid tents. and then locating first aid tent and being turned away because they are closing and then have to walk all the way to the village to the next first aid tent. With a head injury! (oh and aerosmith vs. stone sour. obv.)

good = everything else basically.

For real, only 3-4 types of pizza though (hawian, pepperoni, plain cheese and maybe another?)

Good = Bands, Atomsphere, Banter

Bad = Thieves, Kids on the last night buring things, Fat birds in bikinis/corsets

Good thread. Could someone who has been to both Reading and Download recently please answer this for me? How do the following compare between the two festivals:

-Food and drink prices (pretty similar I assume)

-Twats burning stuff on last night of festival

-Long walk from car park to campsite

-General twattishness of crowd, i.e. with Reading being full of 15/16 year olds spending their first weekend away from home, drinking their first ever 4-pack of beers, etc.

Me and my friends are looking for a Reading alternative, and Download looks like the best option at the moment. Many thanks.

The amount of classic rock on the bill will almost certainly lead to their being a high proportion of older festival goers again, which is good for the over all vibe.

I had a Dominoes.. It wasn't really over priced.

I think it was £15 for a large. But they are made freshly and taste good

@Greeny - 3 different toppings. I remember as you had to queue in a certain place for the topping you wanted. Cheese+Tom / Pepperoni / Ham+Pineapple. I'm sad.

@ the person asking about twatishness. We had a group of twats next to us in the camp site.. 17/18 yr olds on acid acting like complete pricks falling into other people's tents and generally being rude to other people. But that was it. Everyone else was very friendly

Yea I remember you saying. Either on the walk to the arena on the Friday or Saturday.. I think it was the Friday as we both hanging. That Thursday night was terrible. I blame the efest meet
