I was told today that helium doesn't actually make your voice squeakier, oh no!

Infact, it merely speeds up the soundwaves created by our vocal chords by 7 times, creating a higher pitch.

FACT.

Ah well I know he was doing the Download one the other day, he just seems around a lot more lately, and always seems to be him updating things and then posting on the forums that he has.

Sorry for not crediting you Neil. i didn't mean it was only Scottie doing it, I just meant its not only Neil anymore, but it didn't come out like that

yeah, scott is meant to post a link to any news article he does in the right forum, which is why you're seeing those posts.

But news items don't often have much to do with the rumours.

Any projectiles that were thrown were deserved - I believe they started being thrown when Axl tried to leave after 5 songs and the pub band started "jamming" with all the quality of a 15 year old's garage band.

I was referring more to Axl (allegedly) trying to leave after slipping on stage and demanding an extra 10 grand to continue, that and the fact that anyone who saw them in 06 will have no desire to see the classics butchered again. I left 5 songs in when I realised that the bands who play in my local O'neills do a more convincing version of "Sweet Child Of Mine"

I am not sure that the rumour of them playing son or reading is true. the booking chap for download has said, on twitter (apparently) that soundgarden are not coming over to the uk till 2011 with them headlining download then. but I am not sure if this source is gospel for the groups goings on.

just wait and see with them. I am not sure that the band even know themselves what they are doing.

I want them to tour more than anything, so as soon as I know I will let you guys know (as I search the internet every other day for the latest updates/rumours/news.

    • Remain self-imposed on not going north of a hundred, but... we're getting to the point now where the starting gun will be above that for some acts.
    • I'm finding the lower line up a little impenetrable this year   Any thoughts on heavier bands a la Slift a few years ago?
    • Will be curious to see how most of those shows sell. Surprised they're playing Leeds and Manchester - much as I am with Megadeth. (Not complaining, mind you.)
    • Biffy Clyro back again for R+L then 😁   To be fair, Biffy Clyro still one of the true "coup" bookings they've had here. Not implausible another Victorious headliner ends up in the mix, given Ashcroft has done it before. Maybe Kasabian, on the back of their arena run?
