Hi I have been reading up about the 'Comfy Crappers' but in the last few times I have been Glasto I havent seen them. Could someone please tell me where abouts they are on the site? Any good?

Thanks

Can't beat Flushing Meadows - the flush toilet block that used to be near the farm but was mpved over a bit to Home Ground last year. Proper porcelain flush toilets and still clean on Monday. (But don't tell everyone or they'll all want a go).

Do they usually show the comfy crappers on the little map you get? I know a person who is coming with us who would appreciate a clean toilet for his 3 dumps a day...

  • 2 weeks later...

I've seen those flushing toilets left in a right state. Piss all over the seat, wet toilet paper stuck to the wall, all that kind of thing. Bad timing I guess.

I've never found the long drops to be all that inhospitable. Especially the new once with a roof (and a gap to let a breeze blow out the stench).

It's just the portaloos you should avoid.

    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
    • I was having a tired day, my apologies 😂
    • I was there with Oxfam too! I got earlies so it was probably me who registered you on arrival 😀
    • Slightly unexpected, but Shambala is discounted on TfG.   Works out at about £215 after discount which is about a third off.
