Not this "earth", this country.

And this is a republican belief that has been held since the word republic came in to use. I think most people wouldn't exactly find this either racist or nationalist.

In fact I would, as a student of political theory, be very insterested in how this is a show of outright nationalism as opposed to liberal nationalism or anything else given that I am not defining Britain as an ethnic identity. Do enlighten me.

You keep saying we, yet not a single poster has backed you up, though several have laughed at you and ampersand agreed with me that we'd get on again next time we met, just as we always have. So stop trying to big yourself up with all these PMs you apparently get but that nobody wants to admit too.

Yes it is. You chose to describe my views as nationalism. Which is a rather interesting interpretation.

These concepts explain how the political entities around us operate based on their beliefs.

I believe in liberalism, and I believe in the rights of the citizen and the citizens right of collective sovereignty.

Main Entry: carpet muncher

Part of Speech: n

Definition: a lesbian

Etymology: 1992

Usage: derogatory slang

My own view on this is as follows:

If I called a homosexual man an arse bandit? poo pusher? would that be acceptable. No. Its offensive and derogatory and not acceptable

Why then should we use language that is as offensive as the above to describe sexual contact between homosexual Woman.

Because we are men is the term less offensive?

If a straight woman said it would it then be acceptable?

Of course its not.

The fact people do not see the problem is the problem. If you think the term is not offensive to any number of people then you need to look at what language you use.

Now I am not saying anybody here is homophobic what I am saying is that phrases and saying used in jest that are derogatory to a minority or a majority should be kept in check so as not to blatantly offend people.

What you do in your own home is up to you but the fact that a joke is made regarding the incarceration of a murderer and her sexuality due to circumstance is a little worrying, regardless of how hot people think she is.

Just my humble blind opinion

Back on track, she was an odd ball if you ask me. there is mention of drugs... do we know what sort? just seems odd that the first guy jailed was there for a drug deal??? and then ended up with the death of a girl during sex play.

It was not meant as a hate filled rant against lesbians and if any lesbians has been offended then please let me know and I will give you a heart felt apology. Like wise, if certain people just like to use it as a tool to beat me with and show little interest in the OP then they will go on ignore.

I can see both sides to it. I don't think calling people names is constructive, because if someone knows they're not a hater, they're just going to dismiss the message along with the messenger.

From a feminist perspective, you could take offence at the whole thread if you wanted to be picky. reducing women to sex objects indeed! Where's the thread on tasty deadly males then? :P
