Fair comment, but the man had strong views which alot of others agreed with. If someone else had been in Maggies shoes I have a sneaky feeling Roger would have targeted their policies and actions too. Afterall, he wrote "Mother should I trust the government" which meant something then, means something today (even more so (expenses)) and will also probably ring too of future governments.

I have not thought about this too much before typing - but I would go as far as to say Roger Waters is the best lyricist of all time.

 This thread sounds like my house when me and my mates boyfriend (who only discovered Pink Floyd a couple of years ago when he went to see Roger Waters) get started on the subject. Might show him this on Friday night when he's round. I shall use smileys to show our other halfs reactions when this happens they start by going :D then :D quickly followed by

My husband is the only one of us to have seen both of them on the same stage.

Roger may be touring The Wall soon... (with or without Gilmour...!)

So, who knows maybe next year there could be a big wall in front of a pyramid shaped stage somewhere in Somerset...?

I agree with this completely!!! Roger is the grestest, without doubt, lyricist of all time. Better than Dylan, Cohen, or anyone else for that matter! Also, the wall concert at glasto would be amazing!!!
