Board Meets

Funnily enough, Me and 2 other eFesters (infrequent contributors though) and some mates are out in Newcastle on Halloween. Basically three of us from Sheff are travelling up to meet some Geordies we met at Glasto and are 'oot on the piss'.

In the grand tradition of bloke organisation skills, we have no plan yet other than to drive up Saturday afternoon and dump the car at someone's house, then hit the bars. I'm sure we'd welcome any others from the N/East if they want to tag along.

In the spirit of my new life philosophy after experiencing Glasto (see new places, do new things, meet new people and then cock about and get drunk) I'll try to get to some of these.

Yeah - it's not a Glasto topic, it's a meet topic. And it opens the meet upto festie goers who dont go to Glasto and, therefore, don't use the Glasto boards

Problem with setting up the Meet organisation thread on a different page is that there are a lot of people, esp newbies, who only go on the Glastonbury pages, so they could be kept out of the loop.

There's lots more meets organised on these pages, so can't see the harm in 42-Shades arranging it here, someone can always advertise it on the Discussions page.

Im going over to the Discussions, to discuss how moody some people are on the glasto site. esp if you wanna chat about something in the chat room. You've all lost it, it was better without the superfence, bring back CND, free milk. In fact im gonna cancel my ticket and go and see the friendly people at Reading. It used to be about the music man!!

As there are alot of new folk at the moment I would like to mention that some of the folk that use these boards often organise meet ups with each other. These are all inclusive and are folk that go to all different festies and the like. The details for these are in the Discussion Forum in the Wibble.

There will be others before Glastonbury. I will be organising one in Manchester in February, and you often get little one's organised if someone happens to be in the area. It is a good way to make new festival friends and enemies, and a fantastic excuse to get pissed and make an arse of yourself

There is no set rules to doing these meets and I am not telling people otherwise. I just posted a couple of the links just to make newbies aware that these things are out their. I only really post in Chat in the run up to the festival and post mainly in Discussions for some reason. There is also a Glastonbury My Festivals Group that people may on interested in. That gets busy in the weeks before

I organised a small one in February which was a bit of a leap of faith for me as I had people staying over that I had never met, and I has never met any of the people attending the meet. It was an absolutley fabulous experience, and gave me the opportunity to flirt outrageously
