They are a cracking live band, but their new album is utter shite a real steaming poo of an album. I saw them again last November in Liverpool and i have to say i was really underwhelmed by them, it seemed a very choreographed performance even with the older songs i love.

of course its f**king choreographed, aren't all gigs?

you just notice it more at Muse gigs because everything is overblown and they don't just play once song, say thankyou, then move to the next song!

Think the new album isnt that great, but they're some good songs on there too.

Jesus christ, I just had a look at some of the comments on that link.

It just confirms that Muse fans are either

1. 13 years old or

2. Drooling retards

This band is utter gash. I would rather admit to incest than admit to being a muse fan - there is less shame in it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Muse postboard runs up a campaign to make it a total whitewash from the hardcore fans. Might be a bit difficult with so many shows though.

    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
