This, also the amount of rain that is showing at present is V light isnt it? I know it wasnt heavy in 1997 but we certainly had long periods of moderate rainfall???

Certainly looks like wellies and poncho throughout at this stage though...lets hope for more changes!!!

Latest Met Office summary:

UK Outlook for Saturday 19 Jun 2010 to Monday 28 Jun 2010:

The coming weekend and into the beginning of the new week, it should remain largely dry for most areas of the UK, with variable cloud and sunny periods. The exception being some occasional cloud and light rain at times in the far north, and isolated light showers in eastern parts, perhaps extending to other areas for a time by mid-week. It'll feel warm in any prolonged sunshine, especially further south and west in light winds. Temperatures should be near or above normal, though cooler on northern and eastern coasts with a fresh northeasterly breeze. It may turn a little more unsettled for most parts later next week and into the weekend, mainly for the north and west, with spells of rain or showers. Temperatures remaining near or slightly above normal.

Stay positive everyone, models can and will change throughout this week, plead with that High to please stick around :)

Seconded - it would still be wicked but more difficult and wet *shudder*

Although, I distinctly remember Jackone telling us a few days ago that these forecasts would probably jump about a bit in the next few days so I'm not beleiving this at the moment.

I shall be weather stalking all week but refuse to beleive any news until next Monday. Probably.

I'd argue that some is indicated on Thursday, making 4/5 days. But it could also be that I was being a little melodramatic. Whatever, the trend is not great according to that GFS run.

I await the ensembles.

I've always found this to be the most accurate weather site on the net, and as you

can see it says it will be dry for the next 15 days.

http://www.accuweather.com/ukie/forecast-15day.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0&postalcode=BA6%208AE&metric=1

Therefore you should all stop panicing.

Also, it never rains at festivals I go to. So it will be fine.

I have no idea how AccuWeather do their forecasts. They claim to use GFS data, but somehow consistently have a different forecast to everyone else. I suspect that this is based on the previous run, but I don't care, this is the forecast for me today.

    • Yep, honestly this seems like the most likely option right now.
    • Agree. Also there was a lot more crossing over between stages. I know they need to put the cure, the xx and Gorillaz on the main stages but if they could have put your Blood Orange, Big Thief, Baxter Dury on Cupra and Occident with Jade and Pinkpantheress on the main stages, it would have been a massive improvement.
    • 100% THIS! I haven't quite been able to put my finger on it, but I think you've just nailed why I didn't enjoy this year as much as usual. In last years edition, the likes of Slowdive or Big Thief would have had evening slots at Cupra or Occident, instead of being shoved on to the main stages during the day. Apart from the very biggest acts (ie The Cure, the pop headliners), most performances at Mordor just lack that special "wow, I'm so lucky to be here" feeling that I remember from the Jesus Lizard and Anhoni sets that you've mentioned.  Sidenote: I wonder if there's a decent chunk of ticket holders that gravitate towards Mordor simply because it's the biggest stage, without really caring who's playing at that time, thus the increased (and incredibly noticeable) yapping.
    • Some horrible talkers around me as well for that one. Plus the mobile beer taps pressing through almost all the way to the front, which really should be illegal.
