eFestivals
Just to say, I saw The Stones at Isle of Wight a couple of years ago and they put on a fantastic show. Not a fan really but you have to see them if they are on. Very different set up there as has been said, one big stage and not much else, would they be too big for the pyramid stage though? Don't know. The crush at IOW when they were on was very unpleasant and after was horrific, worst I have ever seen. But if The Stones people told ME that they were interested would he turn them down? again, don't know my self. Difficult to say no. I believe it's the case that the Stones only agreed to play IoW because IoW was able to accommodate their full normal set-up (which required a re-work of the whole stage set-up for the day they played). IoW will have also paid their full fee; IoW is also run by the guy who handles their tours. When it comes to Glasto, it's very unlikely they'd be able to change the stage; it's very unlikely Glasto would or could pay them their hugely high fee; and Glasto isn't run by a face they know very well and trust implicitly. And so, on the basis of these things, I think the Stones @ Glasto is still very unlikely, even taking into account Jagger's comments that they'd consider playing if asked. ShadyBlueBell
We made a big mistake at Glasto this year and went to see Prodigy instead of Blur and there was no way of getting from A To B when both bands where playing this pissed me off but this is what goes on. I do not care for Led Zep or The Rolling Stones and if they where to play we would be going to the smaller stages if we could get through the crowd that is. Why worry who might be playing now its days, weeks, months before another Glasto comes our way so i really do not care at the mo Ask again in 10 months time lol
