Glastonbury is for all ages

Everyone grows older by the day and one day people will be calling the bands you liked crappy :D

Glastonbury should remain a mixture of old and young music to pleased every age.

Although, isn't 2010 the final year Big Mike is in charge before passing the torch onto Emily? Maybe the "special headliners" thing conveniently co-incides with the 40th birthday?

yeah, this is pretty much what I reckon, loads of status quo type bands, cheesy ironic shite and some more 40 year olds pretending to be edgy and dangerous, before going home to mow the lawn for their in laws (Prodigy, I'm talking to you there)

Look ahead to the next 40 years, not back for f**ks sake.

hey, I'm pushing 40, that's already happening :D

should it though, look at the line up for 1971. Did it have bands from 40 years previously? some 1930s hitmakers? Duke Ellington style big bands?

I'm taking an extreme view and of course, I like a bit of nostalgia as much as everyone else, but it's a festival that should look forward not back, that's all I'm trying to say.
