crimsonking
fair point. And it would be something I would have to give careful consideration to. I have never thought of glastonbury like that before. There are LOADS of vegans and the like int he greenfields and elsewhere yet they are happy to go despite it being a working dairy farm. And (without wanting to get in a massive discussion about this) to many vegans the dairy industry is just as barbaric as the meat industry. Hypocrites! Peevis
why? some people are passionate about football. Good on them. It is good to have things in your life that are important to you and be passionate about. If I had a band I would never play in an abattoir as I do not eat meat. Is that pathetic too? jameshunt
Ever considered what happens to dairy cattle once they're no longer productive. Sure it would be the same for Mr Eavis's cattle
royston
if this is true, and I doubt even knickerstitchers could be that stupid, then I have to wonder where their anti-Coventry stance was when they were a struggling up and coming band who jumped at the chance to play at the Godiva festival? russycarps
Possibly.. Although to compare the large scale slaughter of sentient beings for our own personal gratification, and some f**kers f**king little football team, really is pathetic... Langdale Wolf
I don't get the Leicester/Coventry thing. It's hardly a big football rivalry, is it? And they reckon Cov's a shit hole? Yeah - because Leicester is a real shining light in the English tourism guide, isn't it? I'll say it again - Kasabian are shite.
gooner1990
Kasabian kept calling it "Empire Stadium" on Sunday....quite liked that! there were loads of tossers shouting "yid army" at anyone near them like they were on their way to football when heading up Wembley Way
MonkeySpanker
Apparantly refused to play Ricoh Arena Coventry supporting Oasis because they are Leicester City fans, that according to Noel Gallaghers Blog, Noel thought decision was 'wierd'. So much for music being a great unifier. Well was going to buy the new CD but apparantly my Coventry pounds are not good enoogh for Kasabian so f**k 'em
Langdale Wolf
I'm sure I read that Kasabian dropped out of the Ricoh show to allow The Enemy to move up the bill for their home town show.

russycarps
Good point. On that note though, why didn't Led Zeppelin play before Foreigner in December 2007?
jameshunt
because John Bonham died in 1980 and at that moment Led Zeppelin ceased to exist?

benjy26
Kasabian played in Cambridge on the night in question as part of their own tour. The Oasis Cov gig was announced after the other dates on the tour were. Maybe the Kasabian one in Cambridge was scheduled first?
