Why not include larger tents too?

In fact, why not have a rule for the amount of square footage per person allowed, and stop anyone bringing in a tent that is over that? Along with chairs, rugs and so on.

Very belatedly caught up with this thread, becasue paolo999 over on Urban75 (who also posts here) drew my attention to it.

I really, really hope that full details of how the afterpick was managed, hopefully along with some names of the bad bosses too, gets back to Michael, Emily and other highups in the Festival organisation.

The afterpick was traditionally a good way for various travellers, crew at the festival, skint people at the festival etc to earn a bit of cash, also find left-behind booze, cash etc and help the festival with the site clearup.

It's utterly counterproductive to that project for authoritarian management to be tolerated and for the goodwill of those who apply for the work to be abused in that way.

Sort it out Glastonbury!
