Anyone notice in the Glasto Q Daily...

...that EOTR had an entire full page advert every single day?

I didn't see any other festival advertising itself so prominently in the Glastonbury papers.

I hope that doesn't mean they're struggling to sell tickets.

Even if they were, I hope that means they all get snaffled up fairly quickly and they can use the cash to strongarm The Fiery Furnaces into headlining the Bimble Inn.

Nah, I think tickets are selling pretty well. Because it's at the end of the fezzie season there's still plenty of time to advertise and whip up more interest, especially at such a big event as Glasto, where a number of the bands also performed.

My only concern is that Fleet Foxes apparently put in a bit of a disappointing set at Glasto, which might put some people off.

Likewise :D

We did actually hear a little of their set - from the cider bus :D

We'll eschew the cider bus for somewhere much closer at EOTR :D

I was well dissappointed with them at Glastonbury and yes I understand it probably wasn't the best time or place to see them but I will be giving them a miss. No worries though as it means I can see other people I wouldn't otherwise have seen

Also eligible for the meet due to being elsewhere when they were on at Glasto.

Ticket purchase followed The Hold Steady announcement, but ads in Q Daily were noted. Also update e-mail said kids sold out (no taking any, but an indication), then Stewarding full. I reckon ticket sales are going fine and EOTR will be a cracker, first time for me, but my friend is on number 3 and raves about it almost as much as I rave about Beautiful Days
