  1. Anyone with experience of BST before know how good it is for people who maybe can't stand for a whole day? Was thinking of getting tickets for my mum if the Stevie Nicks rumblings come true, but wary she's at an age where she likely can't stay standing all the time and prefers seated gigs. Would happily stand for the actual performance, but in between is there plenty of space to sit usually or is it more of a "on the floor where you can" thing like usual festivals?
  2. I think this makes more sense than them holding back 30-40 acts, now you've said it. Seems likely.
  3. It feels that way to me. I guess we got New Order late last year, maybe there's a big name still to come in Jan? It feels like it's missing one big name and a few second line names, for me. Hard to tell without seeing it broken down day by day but it feels like less than we're used to.
  4. Pretty whelming, really. Not a letdown but not much to be excited about. It'll be fine! A lot of the rumoured acts that are missing were the ones I was keen for - Jane's Addiction, Camera Obscura, Kylie, The Smile, The Walkmen, Death Cab... next year I might just have to skip the speculation.
  5. Lack of Ciutat shows being mentioned anywhere is a little odd?
  6. Pulp and Jarvis absolutely knocked it out the park but the bar and food queues were ridiculous!! Nowhere near enough for that crowd.
  7. Disappointed none of Sophie Ellis Bextor, Japanese Breakfast or CMAT are on the Beeb today. Any of them would have been a nice gentle way of easing into the day's coverage/shrugging off the hangover
  8. His happiness at being there is infectious, makes the set come across so much better. Hell of a voice too.
  9. Absolutely thought this too - surprised how much I loved it and instantly went to check if they had any dates coming up!
  10. A lot of hotels won't have rooms available that far in advance yet - the one I stayed in this year has nothing bookable beyond March next year at the moment.
  11. 10 - Julia Jacklin 9 - Confidence Man 8 - New Order 7 - My Morning Jacket - that sunset behind them!! 6 - The Beths 5 - Pet Shop Boys - would definitely have been higher with a less chatty crowd 4 - Japanese Breakfast - Ciutat show 3 - Kyary Pamyu Pamyu 2 - Ghost 1 - Depeche Mode - absolutely blew me away
  12. This for me, only caught the last 20 mins or so before Blur but it just felt so performative and insecure, not a headliner worthy act.
  13. Japanese Breakfast tonight right up there for me, quality gig. The Chills before were great as well.
  14. The sound bleed from that DJ stage at the back of Mordor is ridiculous, ended up leaving Rosalia early as all I could hear was the beats from it and I didn't want to get right in the mix of the crowd! Only thing they've got wrong this year IMO, didn't realise just how bad it was anywhere further back than halfway til tonight.
  15. Every single person I overheard walking away from Kyary Pamyu was saying it was the best set of the weekend. Hard to disagree, incredible!
