Why does everyone seem to hate young people?

Exactly, people's behaviour had nothing to do with their age, all to do with their attitude. I never met anyone who meant me harm, whose behaviour could be a risk to me or others. I saw a few who were a mild annoyance, but I'll take that over some c*nt who thinks it's fine to kick the crap out of someone and take their stuff.

I do not doubt for one min that there are lots of really nice groups out there who look after the site, clear up after themselves and don't run around like loons all night.

But this year was the first that I saw brand new fence panels being carted up to be burnt, people pissing on the fence holding up the blue canvas screen next to the blokes urinals even though there were masses of space. (do people like walking and getting covered in piss mud???)

Lobbing shit aimlessly into the camp site without regard and just leaving their tents, crap and all manner of stuff when they went yesterday.

Don't wory. It is the mission in life of older people to disapprove of the behaviour of young people and it is the mission of young people to make sure we disapprove.

People who go to Glastonbury would all like to think they are immune to this dynamic but we are sadly proven time and again to be just as susceptible to generational twattishness as the rest of the world.

I met three incredibly decent 18 year olds on Wednesday afternoon (I'm almost 20 yrs their senior!!).

We chatted at the footie, had a laugh and then went our separate ways.

But ten minutes later we bumped into each other again, so we then wandered up to the Stones, had a smoke and chilled for a bit.

I thought they were a lovely bunch, and felt like a proud yet responsible auntie whilst in their presence.

So if you're out their Aaron, Jack and Joelly, I hope you had a wicked festival.

Lots of love and peace your 'auntie' Julia x :D

the elderly annoy me the most, not the glasto veterans, but the 35+ people that only decided to come in the last 5 years and think it should be like a butlins holiday camp.

Generally people don't really annoy me much though, I'm fairly easy going, but people getting really pissed and falling on tents, thats ok in my book. but having a chair at the front of the pyramid stage is not.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
