How long did it take you to get back?

Left the site at around 1200, got back home to Coventry at around 6 pm, and that included stop at service station and Tescos to get fuel and to do a bit of shopping, think taking a detour to pick up M5 at Weston S Mare helped as I missed the snaking traffic to Bristol

We left E3 just before 7.30am, wasn't too bad at all getting off site but the A37 to Bristol took a couple of hours and the M5 was slow in parts, we also had a stop for about 45 mins. Got back to Manchester at 2pm.

Was it a blown head gasket? That's what happened to us on the way down!

To get home we called the AA at about 5pm from where we'd ditched the car in Wincanton and they didn't pick us up until 11pm, getting back to SE London at 330am!

Got to the car in West 23 at 8.15 and off site at 2.15 (moved 200 yards in first five hours), absolute nightmare, conversation with marshal/steward went like this:

"Don't you think you should be directing and filtering the cars so that we get out in some semblance of order."

"I can only do what I've been instructed to do."

"What have you been instructed to do?"

"Nothing."

I know they are only volunteers but unless they are going to give them some sort of assertiveness training then they may as well have just left us to it.

Rabid & I booked a room in a local Travelodge for the Monday night, so we could fall out of the festival into a shower & bed before attempting the drive home to Northumberland. We got home Tuesday evening!
