They'll be RATIONING the feckers, whereas we - who had the foresight to avoid such nightmarish scenarios - can pop over to the shops and buy as much as we want for a decent price.

Those fools are paying Zimbabwean prices. Fools! Ha! Fools! Look at them! Ha ha haaaaa! You look RIDICULOUS!!! And your mate PISSED over your last bog roll, rendering it USELESS!!!!

Ha ha haaaa!!!!!!

Shall I bump the 2010 countdown thread I started last week?

Now we're cooking.

- Walking through the site at 2am Monday morning (i.e. Sunday night) with stalls shutting down and stages being dismantled - total melancholy

- The sound of rain on canvas, when it gets really heavy

- Turning up at the cabaret tent after a twenty minute slog through the mud to find out the line up times are completely wrong, and Woody Bop Muddy is on again

- The crush at the bridge by the John Peel tent

- People sitting in camping chairs in the John Peel tent, the bastards

After 2007 I was so wet and cold said I would never set foot in glastonbury ever again.

:O

I had a brand new drizabone. IT managed 3 days before the water penetrated it.

On Satruday half my friends left. I just carried on.

1995 was muddy, 2005 was a flood and 2007 was the muddiest ever.

So mud every year I have been.

Just emailed my wife to say I had the Glasto blues badly, and she needed to cheer me up tonight. This was her response:

"I could throw some mud at you, not let you sit down all night and then make you sleep on the floor? Turn the heating on full blast at 4am to wake you up feeling nice and hot, and bang on your head repeatedly with a hammer to recreate perry hangover?"

To add to the things I won't miss list

My "special area" shrinking to 1\4 of its natural size

Not being able to pee despite drinking 15 pints

Both of which could admitedly be avoided if I didn't choose to "enhance" my weekend :)

To combat the blues this weekend me and mrs byethecrin have decided to pack in as much as possible...

Kasabian tonight

Blur tomorrow

Brothers pear cider, said "enhancements" and TV coverage on Saturday - although this could turn into a night in the local when depression kicks in at about 7pm

Take That on Sunday for her, beers with non festy mates for me

It was all going well and were keeping our minds of it until about 10AM Wednesday, when the phone calls from started. These basically consisted of folk shouting WHHHEEEYYYYY down the phone and occured at 30 minute intervals :O

Sooner their batteries run out the better !

This is good. Real gooooooood. I'm in a very similar boat gently floating in the lake at the bottom of Pennards in that I've a little 'un due on Saturday (simply the worst planning of all time). Had managed to keep the blues in check quite well up to this week when the urge to head out West was immense. I just wanted to be sick on Wednesday but feeling strangely okay now. Definitely helped by seeing all that rain on the Sky News live feed right now. European Monsoon Wave here we come. Feeling much better now....
