Nice one Rhyscot. And good luck to all those still waiting.

Our tickets arrived this morning!!!! A little close to the wire (we leave for Glastonbury town on Saturday), but we're overjoyed now ...

They were working tickets though, posted out by Festival Information Services, whose organisers are all old Glasto hands who KNOW the importance of their crew getting them in time.

See could learn a few lessons from their efficiency I reckon.

Anyone know roughly how long you have to wait to collect tickets?

We are arriving at 8am on Wednesday (I know the festival office doesn't open till 9am)

With regards to this, do they mean 48 hours before the Friday or 48 hours before the Wednesday? I've always wondered what this means for people travelling down early, I know loads of people that do, what do they do if their tickets don't come before they set off?! :)

We're not going to let it alter our plans. Still heading down first thing on Wednesday. My mate & my Sister are gonna head straight for Gate A to queue for the Festival office to open while the rest of us go ahead & set up camp.

At least some consolation for my mate is that her & my sis both escape having to lug all our gear across the site & setup the tents.

    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
