Need a new tent and this one seems great for price but have sneaking suspicision it isnt the best at being waterproof. Anyone owned this or similar and could give me help as would hate to bring bad tent if the dreaded Glasto rain comes to pass

just check the hydrostatic head, i think i've read people say 1500mm

1500? I'd go for 2000 to be on the safe side and make sure its a double skin

Oh and from hovering over the link it looks as if the tent is a Pro Action 4 person 2 room tent...

I've got the same tent, had it for a couple of years now, and its lasted the weather of 07' + a few more festivals so i would deffinately say it's a good one

We've had that tent for a good few years and took it to Glastonbury 2007 and it did us proud. The material has started sagging now so we have just invested in the 6 man version for this years festival.

My tent is only 1200, and it's been doing festivals and various other camping stuff since 2003.

I've got the tent in the OP and it's done me proud for 3 Leeds fests, no complaints at all.

I don't trust Argos tents at all!

Me and my brother got a 2 man pod tent each for £20 or so, his one came without pegs (which we realised when we had arrived) and the zip on my inner tent broke off when I closed it meaning I couldnt get out. I didn't realise this until half way through the night when I woke up desperate for the toilet. I ended up having to slash it open to get out.

Posted it before - but check your local Morrisons. Got a Scaffell Rock 6 man reduced to £50 - 3000mm hydrostatic head, and it seems like a great quality tent. Double skin, two bedrooms (one removeable), fire retardant, weather checked, tall enough to stand up in (just about) - I like it a lot.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but thought i would ask here rather than starting a new thread.

Im tempted by a Vango Beta 250 for this years fest. It's got a 2000 head, and a great looking porch. Just wondering if it is definitely double skinned?

As much as i love my eurohike pop up, im just fed up of dragging so much cr*p into my tent with me and having hardly any storage space.

I just got a great deal on a tent at Halfords. £120 for a great big 4 man tent that I can stand up in(im 6ft5) comes with 2 double air beds 4 sleeping bags and 4 torches. Plus for another £20 you can get a neat stove and cooking utensils
