I have a bit of a problem,

When I say I have a problem I mean a mate has a problem, I’ll try keep it short but I’m a bit of a rambler…

He didn’t pick his ticket up from the Post Office, it got sent back to seetickets, they then sent me an email saying I have 3 days to respond to get the ticket sent back out or it will be cancelled.

It now looks like he won’t be going and doesn’t seem to care about the money although its money reasons he stated for not wanting to go!

I paid for the ticket on my card and he gave me the cash, he has insurance, can I get the cash back as he had insurance?

I will be giving the cash back to him minus the re-delivery charge, so need for any bad egg responses! :D

Any advice welcome.

Illness is a tricky one, and I'm not advocating fraud, but you can only get a doctor's note on the NHS if you have been ill for 7 days or more.

If, say, you came down with a cold on Thursday morning, and felt too ill to go to the festival, you would not be entitled to a doctors note, and most people would not go their GP for a note if they were taing 2 days of work. By Monday when you next see your GP chances are you would be better, and so there would be no proof.

Not sure how an insurance company would respond to "self certification" for this, but for employment purposes this is legal. An insurance report from your GP is also not covered by the NHS, and so would incure a charge.
