prices change year on year so it's hard to predict. I doubt you would have alcohol taken of you, no matter how young you look you may have some trouble buying it though - although again not too much hastle, they never asked for ID when I was 16 although I was probably just lucky

They have been doing the earlybird sale for donkey's years so I can't see it changing this year.

You can get next year's ticket at this year's prices right after the festival. (of course that's only really a saving if you have the cash to spend on it - if its getting interest on a credit card then it prob ewon't end up cheaper) Means you don't have the crazy rush the next year and can sit ahppy knowing you have all your tickets!

yeah. i agree with the person above. bring as much beer as you can physically carry, you'll still walk out. you might have like 4 hours of hell carrying it but you'll have like 96 hours of heaven drinking it . well worth it in my opinion.

I thought I would contribute.

Usual advice.

  • At any festival, dont camp within 50 metres of the toilets. 5 metres of the path, 20 metres of a water tap. 5 metres from bushes. And 3 miles from a Lady GaGa fan

  • Urm. This year the ID wristband is being brought in. You get it on entry with ID confirming you are 18, so easier to get served on site. If you arent then just get a normal wristband.

  • Buying beer on site if 15 might not be too easy, impossible in the arena, same with normal shops in town i.e Tescos, Sainsburys. But a lot of the on-street merchants that sell beer dont give a f**k. Seen like 13 year olds buy beer from those lot before lol.

  • Yeah tickets will go on sale for next years Reading on the Monday after. So I guess that is the 31st August this year.

  • White camp is quiet camp. Yellow usually gets quite busy. As does green and red on certain years. I usually camp around Purple/Brown, depending on flooding and the continuous changing names of each camp.

  • We usually consume about 10 cans a day and some beer in the arena. But we always go town in morning for toilet duties as well as a greasy burger for breakfast. Fatty foods really give you energy for the day.

  • Cups of tea, soup etc can be bought from the Salvation army tent at like 60p-£1. Not too bad. And with aerosols and gas canisters banned this year, will be the way to go.

  • Yeah tickets for next year will probs be about £196 with booking fee and postage etc. Last years early batch of tickets (the ones on sale the day after Reading) sold out in like 3 days. Which in comparision to the year before was like a week. So get on it asap if you want to save the hassle.

  • I have never had problems with thieves, but certain people say they have been robbed while out at a band or asleep. So yeah take valuables with them, or put them in your sleeping bag when asleep. I doubt a thief will be interested in a reach around to rob you.

  • Bands are on at 12pm. Finish at 11-11.30 depending on set length.

  • Food and drink is very expensive. £4 for a burger, £5-6 for a decent sized meal. £2 for a bottle of water etc. So take plenty of your own food and water if you dont want to pay that much.

  • Town is about a 15-20 minute walk, depending on crowd speeds. So you can get some essentials there, so you dont need to bring everything, if you can go 1 day without it.

  • Some people say bring wellies. But I have never took any and have never needed them. Just take old shoes, and a spare pair of shoes and plenty of socks. Or just watch where you are walking.

  • Hoards of people shouting Bollocks is a festival tradition, so play your part :D

  • Sunday is a bit crazy. I usually watch others acting like idiots. I prefer to just have fun. But some idiots try and set fire to things, but you should be fine.

That is all I can think of. I may add more stuff later if I can think of it.

But yeah feel free to ask questions and I will answer them.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
    • Taxi mafia running their usual scam.
