I totally agree.

A. the Park/other special guest slots if you havent all already noticed are in pretty much the day time.

b. anyone who has ever seen one of their shows other than the final one at Maida Vale (...Me!) does kinda involve a f**kton of equipment, lighting, visuals etc and so a secret somewhat unannounced show is kinda unlikely...

c. not to mention the fact lovely (but silly) old Phil kinda mouthed off about Glasto being a little too commercial for his liking these days. (May have something to do with the weird arse reaction to his DJ set from all the f**king EMO's loving the cocksukcer artist on before him before he played in the Dance Village last year with is lovely new missus at 2am Monday morning!)

d. I wish it more than anything on this planet but know I have to be content with Brighton this Wednesday, Big Chill in August and Get Loaded in Clapham...heyho!

I'm very dissapointed by what Phil said. It didn't stop them releasing a "commercial" live album all of Glastonbury recordings. It also didn't stop the Long Range gig at Glastonbury recently.

This said I'll be at that Shangri La "so massive we'll be sacked if we tell you" gig hoping expectantly.

Hope you enjoy your gigs. I'm only allowed limited time away from parental responsibilities, so have to put all of my proverbial eggs in the Glastonbury basket. It'll still be superb wihtout them.

Ok...so it's not phil and paul being 'clever'! Oh well...will just have to be contented with a summer of them everywhere else starting with this Wednesday...got the Maida Vale gig blasting away in my MP3 in prep for the best night in my lie in 5 years...! I need to lie down!

same here. since seeing them at Glasto in 94 in my younger days, i've loved em. gutted they don't seem to be playing, but i have tickets to their Manchester gig in September. i don't think ive ever seen them in such a small venue before. it's gonna be brill!

I saw 'em in '94 too: the best ever 'techno' show I've seen!

Saw 'em first in '93 at a small megadog event in manchester, but I have to say I preferred glasto.

Shame that without a 'guest appearance' they're not on this year: they may be saving an extra special performance for next year's 40th celebrations, and I will be there!

I would be a serious happy chappy if it turned out the special guests were micheal franti & orbital.

Though if the special guest slots are in the middle of the day, wouldn't that detract a bit from the atmosphere for orbital?

If it's not them, I think I'll get tickets to see them in manchester

Love Orbital, but i think the suprise act will be The Gossip, work in a record shop, new album is been sold in by their supplier, they want us to up the order due to the fact they're playing Glastonbury?? Could be shite, who knows, don't think they are down on the official line up.
