eFestivals has been running a competition for someone to win a pair of Glastonbury tickets.

The winner has been drawn. The winner has had emails sent to him/her.

But this user seems to have used what is essentially a false email address for their registration, meaning that they are not responding to the emails being sent to them, meaning that it's looking like they're going to miss out on their prize.

What's the point of registering for a competition and giving false details? Does it get any dafter?

I know someone who enters competitions but gives fake names so they can't use him for market research purposes. I don't think he realises what an idiot that makes him

mate of mine thought he had tickets until about 10 days ago when he found out his Mum who was buying him a ticket hadn't paid the balance.

He saw those tickets on see tickets website and rang 5 times, each time saying as they were full price tickets surely he could buy them but was told he couldn't!!

He's just being diagnosed with MS so this could be his last chance to go to Glastonbury, he'll be gutted when he finds out they were for sale after all.

When did you email them?

They might not check their email regularly, or might be on holiday for a week or two, so away from their computer.

I would recommend setting a deadline of up to 14 days from when you sent the first email, and if there is no response then the tickets are returned to Glastonbury for resale.
