Megadeth?

Theres a huge rumour going around that Megadeth are playing Download this year and not only playing but opening the 4th stage on Friday

Theres a band called The Instigators down on the line up poster as opening the festival

but their myspace is hardly ever used, they are truely awful, and the massive rumour going round is that this is just a bunch of kids being used as a cover [they're 15 years old for starters]

theres lots of people linking them to Megadeth for some reason

and then theres this

what do we think? The official board is full of people saying that its Megadeth

My missus's boy has an exam in the morning and gonna have to bomb up the motorway to catch this after!!

We did have a leisurely drive up until this was announced

Seriously, if this is true, forget pitching my tent on the Thursday, I'm just going to camp in the 4th stage!! That would be amazing... Although unless your there early you aren't going to get anywhere near that stage!!!

hang on, didn't summat similar happen at L/R last year with the FFers? everyone was speculating that it was the foo fighters.. but it wasn't, and they were bottled at reading..

"The gig will function as a listening party for tracks from Megadeth's as yet untitled new album, "The Instigators" will play a small set of Megadeth covers by themselves with no support and Dave Mustaine, Chris Broderick, James Lomenzo and Shawn Drover will all be in attendance."

It so has to be! I'm gonna start filling some plastic bottles just in case....
