It's always really good, in other words, free from those generally mediocre ones that feature on that Live at the Appollo program. Plus a few cabaret and jugglers thrown in between, it's one of my faveourite stages

The comedy tent is one of my favourite places, but can be bonkers. Was anyone else in there when Brendan Burns handed out 10kg of magic mushrooms to the crowd then had a nervous break down on stage, ending his career for 18 months?

There's probably Jim Jefferies gets punched by a heckler on there as well. Jim's a Comedy tent regular :P

who's the guy who throws rice and breaks records?

RICE!!

That's Woody Bop Muddy. Mad as a hatter. Awesome to a late night cider-addled audience! Have booked him to do Download's comedy tent. Hopefully he will be at Glasto as well.

I enjoyed the comedy tent in 2007 - (perhaps as you could sit down on carpets and avoid mud!)

We went in when they had radio 4 recording proceedings - some great turns including Ed byrne

Bill Bailey did a unnanounced headlining set I believe, but It clashed with the Who on the pyramid - I would love to see him -

But very relaxed atmosphere, good comedy, would happily spend more time than we did there but can't do it all
