Something that's been bothering me this year that I couldn't quite place. Now I think I've found it. Short of Placebo, Deftones, YYYs, Prodigy, and arguably FFAF and Brand New, none of the acts on the mainstage (excluding headliners) are really established festival mainstays. What I mean by this is that there's a gaping hole on the line-up where the likes of Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, NOFX, Bowling for Soup, New Found Glory, Sum 41 etc would have slotted in for a much needed sunny afternoon singalong. With Alexisonfire and now Madina Lake looking to occupy slots on the main stage it's making one of the aforementioned festival necessities look very unlikely which is a shame as there seem to be an abundance of bands that take themselves way too seriously and very few, (possibly just EODM) who are up for more of a laugh <_<

Not sure if that made sense, I've been working since 9 on about 2 hours sleep so chances are I've waffled a bit!

    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
