I have driven there and back twice and on the way down its a real buzz...coming back i was soooo tired but that was cos we left very late sunday/early monday morning.

We tend to travel down on the tuesday and camp in Wells over night, that means we can just get up and go the half hour to Glasto next morning instead of travelling all the way from liverpool early in the morning and then having to haul our stuff across site.

Dont worry about driving though...where abouts south Yorkshire? Sheffield way?

Its a fairly easy run on the motorways you will be fine. If you don't have sat nav use Google Maps or AA Routefinder.

Then you can be a proper girl like me and not even attempt to read a map much to other halfs disgust.

For some confidence only comes with experience which is gained by driving about their own town and not all drivers have yet gained thet sort of confidence to drive long distances.

I never felt wary about driving anywhere from passing my test 6 months after my 17th birthday, but many friends felt the need to have lessons on the motorway before venturing on it.

Live and let live, we are all individuals.

Sowfpig..

Im in Liverpool but I have travelled all round the UK with work so was just thinking about how long it could take you. Even if you had a layin wednesday morning, you could still get down just after lunch..

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
    • Taxi mafia running their usual scam.
