that story is complete and utter bull ..... they were never going to play as they'd already arranged dates around Glasto weekend that they'd have needed to cancel in order to be able to play Glasto.

I just read their excuses on Yahoo, It was so obviously a huge lie "the line up isn't right for us" who the hell is going to believe that?

Why must bands be so duplicitous?

I quite like Depeche Mode and I was under 35 a few years ago......

I was so excited to see Depeche Mode at Coachella in 2006 because I grew up with their music and had never seen them and couldn't be bothered to spend an obscene amount of money to see them in a big arena. I was sadly underwhelmed and left early to get a good spot for Daft Punk.
