Stuart1000
Had a feeling that would happen - I couldn't really see the entire festival closing to "The Fear" by Lily Allen

glastonburynoodles
Does anyone know how strict they are with the photo ID? I was lucky enough to get tickets for the Sunday but I owe a mate a favour, he helped me get tickets for the The Enemy when they played a small gig in York earlier this year. He lives closer and The Enemy are playing Sunday so I thought it would be a decent payback. I can provide him with address details but photo ID will be more problematic. Did anyone go last year and were they strict with the entry requirements. Any help gratefully appreciated.
NeilSwindon
Hiya, I live in Swindon and managed to get 2 tickets for me and my daughter but that would mean my wife will not be able to join us... I only want 1 ticket if anybody is willing to part with one? I am willing to pay a fair price. If anybody can help I would be forever in their debt. Thanks for reading - Neil. Can anyone that went today let me know if there is only one entrance and is it the Hook St. or Hay Lane side? Looking forward to Enter Shikari, Akon and the Prodigy - got my glow sticks . Px.
Had a lovely time with son at this FREE festie. Lydiard is a place where Swindonians go to chill and that is what they did over the weekend. Very mixed crowd with families, adolescents and "maturer " folk in amongst the youth even if the TV preferred to just show the girly girls! Due to the ticket lottery dont think there were more than a handful of devoted fans for any of the acts so people just made the most of what they were given. Who knows; might entice a few more to purchase some tickets for this years festies and help keep them ticking over? Prodigy were excellent - and plenty of dancing going on all around. Think Lily Allen might have got a bit stuck as she was billed to be on after Ne-Yo in some of the info so she might have had a different crowd gathered at the front of the main stage than she expected which does affect the vibe. The other two I was keen on seeing clashed, of course, so saw first few of Enter Shikari, very energetic, great music but my son hated their vocals, and last few of Akon. There was a great atmosphere in the tent when he was on and he really picked up on it. Caught Tinchy Stryder - starinthehood. Not something I would normally have chosen but great fun and good guest slots.
j...rox
I wrote on the saturday but my sunday was as follows: White lies - excellent and will be amazing at Reading when they get a better following. Ladyhawke - fail possibly a biggest disappointment Chase & Status - another highlight loved how they pulled all the special guests including Kano and Plan B, totally epic set. Moyles vs Westwood for the laughs Enter Shikari - full of tossers in the crowd but otherwise not bad. Franz Ferdinand - no tossers but very dull crowd and a comotosed couple showing far 2 much pda down each others throat near the front and looked at the band once. I would say get a room but they were only about 13. Offputting and annoying, on another note Franz were excellent but dull crowd. Maximo - excellent new stuff went down well too. The Enemy - best time ive seen them out of the 3. Highlight and got a good crowd despite the competition of the prodigy. Judge Jules - pulled a small crowd due to the prodigy but totally rocked the outdoor stage. Loved his Kings of leon, La Roux and Killers remixes he pulled out, i then preceded to pull some wierd and wonderful shapes. And before you ask The Prodigy shall be watched at Reading so that's why i didnt bother with the full set.
