I think i'm gonna go to this. Gonna be flying into the UK from Denmark a few days earlier than expected for it! Anyone used the Tangerine Fields tents before? I'll be trekking in alone without a tent so it sounds like a great option for me.

Hi Jenayr,

Looks like it's going to be amazing this year! Route wise i'd say just head down the M6, past that I'm not too sure.

Some great cinema was announced yesterday including British Sea Power performing Man Of Aran live in the cinema tent after their main stage set!

There are some great line-ups this year but this is definately one of the best. I'm heading to Latitude, Bestival and Leeds as well as this but this is definately looking to be the highlight, just noticed the running orders just been announced here on efest. I do hope Unicorn Kid and Peter Broderick don't clash like it indicates though...

So who's going to be gaining entry on Thursday afternoon? Anyone want to adopt 2 lovely, lively minors?

Not sure.I think ticket sales have generally been slower for festivals this year. Greenman didn't sell out until a couple of weeks before the event last year I think? Hope the mudbath of the last couple of years have not put people off too much.Still think this festival is one of the best around.

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
