the_hedge
If the V forum it will probably do quite well. If you put this in Discussions it would probably come bottom. It's never has the best line up and it's the most expensive as most of the other festies have 3 days and more stages. I like the relaxed nature of V but that's about all it has going for it. Squall Moogle
The V lineup is rather average at best. I'd have to say that Glasto would be best overall (dispite greatly lacking in regard to rock and alternative music). Reading and Leeds are pretty good headliner wise but have obvious trouble with kids + too much drink. V is very average, but the lineup could always be far worse. There are several bands that I would like to see and the EFest camp'll be great fun! I'd have to say that Sonisphere is looking the best this year. I'm gutted that I wasn't able to get time off for it and go instead of V. The lineup so far beats the hell out of all the other UK festivals, if it is well managed it is likely to be brilliant. Going to get an early bird ticket for that one after the festival (if they go on sale).
MikeyB37
Still, I think Glasto will win hands down. It's the Grandaddy!! B x

eFestivals
I'd have to say that Glasto would be best overall (dispite greatly lacking in regard to rock and alternative music). Glastonbury lacks alternative music? It out-does every single other fest going in that area. It also has a lot of rock - it's only those who demand 'names' that reckon it hasn't. xxtinkerbellxx
Nono, not that meaning of alternative. Alternative alternative, not alternative alternative, do you see?
kookye
Nono, not that meaning of alternative. Alternative alternative, not alternative alternative, do you see? Bah, why can't there be a festival in this country where I can see the Feeling followed by Amon Amarth, followed by Nine Inch Nails followed by Nobuo Uematsu with plenty of fun bands and also metal, industrial and 80's new wave mixed in? TheNewUnion
I really does depend on what you are into. There are threads on here, for example, with people almost suicidal (OK, slight exaggeration) at the thought of Katy Perry and Lady GAGA clashing, these are the folks who would probably rate V highly because it gives them what they want. Similarly there are people who hate V for the cost, the only two day thing, the commercialism etc. I probably fall between the two, I hate being ripped off and feeling like the whole fest is trying to get money out of me. Of your list, I doubt you'll find anyone who rates any festival over Glastonbury but if you ask is V one of the top festivals in the country, for better or worse, it is. bekimo
haha your well funny it was a question, i just asked which was the best of those 5, if ya wanted me to do a poll of every f**king festival in the UK i'd be here until you lose your virginity! geofelgie
I prefer V to Reading - But that's just cos of sound issues - I suspect Leeds is MUCH better - But it's not a patch on End of the Road, Latitude, Bestival......even little Blissfields! I use V to get my fix of "big" bands who I wouldn't see otherwise....can't make myself spend, say, £40 on a snow patrol gig......when i can see 4 little gigs for that. MikeyB37
Sweetheart how old do you think I am? LMFAO. You have totally made my day. Honest to god. I can't remember the last time someone believed me to be a virgin!!!! Let me think . . . . some time in the mid 90's. I think. Bless your little cotton socks. I do miss playground insults. And now I've gone and made myself feel old!!! B x
