I'd have perhaps thought the same yesterday, but with the skunk anansie dates going on sale today, I'm making the presumption that skunk anansie would therefore be playing the festivals this summer;

not sure I could see richardson juggling both roles, unless he's referring to playing with skunk anansie at glasto and latitude this year, and not feeder.

it's not mark richardson because wikipedia has a comprehensive list of bands mark has done session work with and not one of them has played at latitude like sungubala has done twice.

also, sungubala would never, EVER, lie to us :P

for a little while i thought maybe it could be alex white who drums for brakes but has also played with electric soft parade and the pippettes amongst others but then the live8 thing threw me as he certainly didnt play there to my knowledge. also, i have the feeling this guy is a bit older than that, i feel vibes of a thirtysomething at least.

well, the fact that you said it was one of your favourite gigs you've ever played. i could be completely wrong on this as im not a musician myself but id imagine you'd prefer playing with your own band than doing session work.

and i dont mean to offend but i'm wary of anyone who considers live8 one of their favourite gigs anyway, surely its better to play to an audience full of fans of your band rather than to a crowd full of boring middle class people with their deckchairs and picnic baskets thinking they're doing their bit to save the world who probably wouldnt know a decent song if it slapped them around their face.

Well the biggest question has yet to be asked..........sungabula, will you be at the e festival cider bus meet on wednesday / thursday? (dont worry, you can buy lager at the Bar next door!) lol

Edit - Or are you camping in the Red Triangle?

    • Personal Trainer start a UK tour on 6 Sept and have featured a times. They were kind of there last year in the form of Long Fling (a great set in the Tipi). I could see them being a secret set in the Tipi again. I don’t remember the Bollox new name for the Tipi and never will.
    • If Shania Twain can fill the legend slot, Duran Duran and Annie Lennox absolutely can.

    • I too am always a bit blurred on what/who constitutes a legend slot but would Sting fit that bill?  Those there said his IoW slot was v good and he has enough of a songbook imo for a Sun afternoon if he uses the Police's 1st 2 albums for a fair chunk of it
