yea i suppose but i'm not gonna buy a new stove for one fest when i've already got a perfectly good gas one! the money spent on a new one could probs fork out for at least 4 meals so it's pretty pointless really. unless the food is so shit potnoodles actually taste better...

What everybody forgets is that Reading don't actually sell the food, they just sell the pitches.

While it's still atrociously high, they do set food prices as low as they can get away with while still selling all the pitches (at something like £1500 a pop).

As for drinks, part of the reason they're expensive it is that the vendors don't really want to stock them; they're heavy, bulky and cost more per unit than a cheaply made cheeseburger (which sell for £4). They have to set the prices at £2 or stallholders simply won't bother selling drinks.

And hexi stoves are brilliant!
