NO, horrible, heavy continuous rain = mud

just a light cooling shower = just a light cooling shower

why can't some retards just accept that some people don't like wall to wall sunshine- it can be uncomfortable and just as unpleasant as a bit of rain

some people on here are just acting like young children that can't get their own way

In this situation, one is reminded of Hudson's tirade in Aliens after the dropship crashes . . .

"Well that's just great. I mean that's just £uckin great! Now what the £uck are we supposed to do? We're in some real pretty sh1t now man!"

Latest update from the met office for Friday into next week:

"The south runs the risk of of some heavy showers and thunderstorms at times, especially over central and southern parts of the England"

Now, the big Q is, does central somerset fall into this potential meteorological quagmire, or is it too west [and north of the south] to be much affected?

hey, this aint too bad:

http://www.######.co.uk/glastonbury-f...ather-forecast/

that indicates a 30% chance of rain on sat and sun, just 10% on fri. so, overall we're on the low side of anything nasty...

Bloody hell :P it's not looking so good now is it. I should have known better by now not to get my hopes up, yet every year they are dashed. Still as ever by now I'm almost beyond caring, come hell or high water ( ) I'll be there in 48 hours and have the greatest weekend all year.

me sister's best mates cousin's budgies older brothers human friend reckons it'll be a good'un this year still.

(to be fair considering all the varying guess work going on on about every website, it's probably a reliable guess.

Be happy everyone, this is england after all

Calm down people, all is not lost!

So far the weather bods have said there is the chance of rain at the weekend, and even if we do get a shower or two the ground will soak most of it up and the hot sun that is definitely forecast will quickly dry up any mud.

I will bet my left bollock that the weather is no where near 2005 or 2007. It won't even be like last year. Any rain that will come will fall like Evian mist, and will come as a blessed relief after the hours of unrelenting sunshine. I have forseen it.

OK - the netweather prediction give a total of around 3.8cm of rain over the whole weekend. Just over a centimeter a day. And have you seen those temperatures? 30 degrees!!!!???

Seriously, if it's that hot a centimeters worth or rain will dry up in no time I'm sure...

And yeah, vs no rain it will suck, BUT, count your blessings peeps, if you were there like me in '97 when the relentless wind chill made it feel like about 3 degrees, multiply that by ten and you'll feel like you're in the Amazon... which is a good thing (I know because I just came back from there <smug... mwah!>)

    • Skylink is 24 hours... But the skylink will drop you off at Pegasus business Park or EMA (East Midlands Airport) where you'll have to use the Download shuttle link, which isn't 24 hours. The last shuttle from the Download transport hub to EMA is 12:15 TrentBarton / Local bus info here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/download2026   Skylink Derby / Leicester / Loughborough timetable here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/services/skylinkderby  Shuttle timetable here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/userfiles/hotel.pdf If you miss the shuttle, which is very doubtful, you'll just have to find another way to EMA / Pegasus business park, maybe a taxi. You could even walk to EMA from the Download transport hub, wouldn't take too long. Just make sure you use the airport's 'circular path' instead of the dangerous roads.  I walk the circular path often, it's nice and easy. I would post instructions but I very much doubt you'll miss the shuttle, and if you do, it isn't hard to work out. The footpath is clearly signposted from directly opposite / across the road from where the download map has labelled "Pickup and Drop Off Exit."
    • So for Harry Styles it was actually a plastic bag that basically blocks the view of the front and back cameras. You can still use the phone screen. It's much easier than using lockers, especially for people leaving for the last train etc    I think it's basically reliant on the threat of security kicking you out if you start filming.
    • Hey, does anybody have a joining link for the WhatsApp group plz? I know the secret sets get posted there but have a new phone and number
