Ah but you've made the classic error of searching 'Glastonbury' and not Pilton. It's not far and should be the same....but it isn't. Accuweather is showing some showers in the run up to the festival (which matters because it'll get muddy easier if there's been rain beforehand) and on Sunday.

Still being tremendously ginger re: rain. Looks good to me - don't panic.

"Monday 22 June 2009 to Sunday 28 June 2009

“A cloudy start but becoming warmer and more humid.”

A front will cause light rain to affect Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England until Tuesday. Rising temperatures could trigger a few showers in western areas of the UK by mid-week.

Rainfall looks likely to be below the seasonal average, although temperatures could rise to above average for the time of year, reaching the low to mid-twenties by Tuesday.

From Wednesday onwards, a generally easterly wind will mean it will be cool in eastern England and eastern Scotland.

Low cloud and mist could affect coastal areas of north-east England and eastern Scotland, which could result in a 10C drop in temperature from Tuesday (for example Lindisfarne in Northumberland is expected to register 22C on Tuesday and 12C on Thursday)."

    • Either or. They both play the same venues.

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.
