Cant believe I'm sitting waiting for Jackone to post. A f**king weatherman. I'm sitting here on a Friday night waiting for a f**king weatherman. This is driving me insane!!!

Does Jackone go to Glastonbury? Does he sit smugly at the stone circle surveying all below him saying to himself 'damn I'm good, exactly as I thought'

I like to think he does.

For the Wednesday to the Friday, it is set to be mainly dry, very warm with only the outside chance of a shower, into the weekend, and the GFS is quite progressive in bringing in unsettled and potentially wet weather. The ECM is slightly less keen on this although it is slowly set to turn less settled with increasing chance of a shower. The ensembles keep the pressure higher over the UK than either of ECM and GFS, restricting further the chance of wet weather.

However going by the operational runs, I am going to lower the forecast for the festival to 6 (1=washout, 10=heatwave) as there is the real chance of some wet weather next weekend, but this is still uncertain.

It's a definite downgrade (obviously) but there's still plenty of time for things to improve I reckon, still quietly confident it's going to be grand (although that's just based on the usual blind optimism)

Think last year was a 6 (or at least 3 out of 5) if pushed I'll take that now. Don't forget believers, that 10 is a heatwave and 1 a washout, so a 6 is still pretty good. We should be getting a more accurate picture of what's going on as the days run on too, JACKONE is being cautious until he knows for sure, that's how I'm reading it.

    • I'm not sure, they aren't giving any headliner in that format 2hours and Foos would have at least 2. I wouldn't say Reading is likely for them next year either. If they are as said going big on a tour with stadiums and festivals then the UK is once place they can definitely do stadiums and that would rule them out. And that's even if they come back for a second UK stint as I fully expect them in Europe from very early. That could be seen as hyperthetical but there are is some places I cannot see them not doing from history.
    • One problem could be that many of the hospitality packages are already sold out. Unless you’ve a media contact, media organisations normally get a hospitality allocation.
    • I agree on WA taking a year off in 2027. But if they got the call from R&L could see them having a similar August to what Fontaines are doing now. A few random shows + 2/3 other festivals. The festival/LN does seem to love them as well so there is a chance they take a punt.   I did see about Rodrigo potentially doing a stadium in Poland but no clue if that would be 2027 or 2028, I just can't see her at the Fest at all, seems too big in current climate.   If I were to guess the headliners next year I'd go with Fred Again/Foos/Capaldi/Olivia Dean/Biffy or Wolf Alice/Some Rapper, Tems?
