Yet the BBC Points West Angwin forecast, while dry, is hardly anywhere near hot....just 23 or 24. still, that's quite nice, but quite cool after dark i expect. could be unevenful and boring, weather-wise. and with the sun being dimmer, we can save a bit on sun tan lotion, lol

Summary

All forecast point a definite theme which needs no repeating, the question is will it turn unsettled next weekend, probably not, however there is the chance of some sharp shwoers or thundery activity towards the end of the festival, however at the moment the odds favour the Glastonbury festival escaping not too badly, but it is very much a close call.

It is also a tough decision whether to keep the score at 8 or move it to 7, in light of the threat of a thunderstorms over the weekend, I'll will be on the cautious side and move it back to 7, despite this predominately the weather over the festival will be dry, settled and possibly very warm, and the weekend may still fall into this category.

Yes it is a bit of a worry, but hoping as the next few days go on that threat will bugger right off

yes but we all know the predictions have been getting slowly worse over the last few days. And there are still 6 days to go. At this rate we'll be at a 1 FFS!! :D

u can tell that jackone didnt reeally wanna move from 8 to 7, but covering his back and being the cautious man he is, he decided to take the slightly more pesamistic route,

dont blame him he has alot of deciples

but i think if the scale had decimals hed really call it a 7.7 on the scale

because smiley in my experience metcheck is one of the worst performing sites around, it is based on the GFS(american I believe) which at times can be a volatile model. Net-weather use a variety of models to try and predict the outcome rather than basing itself on one model. They use the European and GFS model aswell as other factors. Metcheck in a reliable timeframe is ok as is the BBC based on the euro models and will get it right but the more info you have the better chance you have of predicting the weather, stands to reason.

apologies if this has already been explained on this mammouth thread but why are we putting so much faith in net.weather? Metcheck was very accurate last year....and there are also The Weather Channel website and Accu Weather websites to consider....

Metcheck's gone all windy :D

I am now revising my default weather position from as long "As long as it's dry" to "as long as it's dry and not windy"

    • I think a Take to the Skies set would probably be the thing that gets me to go to this. Couldn't give a f**k whatelse is on there if that happens.   Feel like Knocked Loose might be too big by that point.
    • Issac Wood in support????   A lot here to digest
